BMW i8

The BMW i8 is a plug-in hybrid sports car that was first introduced in 2014. It has a futuristic and aerodynamic design, with butterfly doors that open upwards. The i8 is powered by a combination of a 1.5-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor, which together produce a total of 369 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph. The i8 has a range of up to 18 miles on electric power alone, and can be charged in under 2 hours using a Level 2 charger. The i8 was discontinued in 2020, but it remains a popular and innovative vehicle that helped pave the way for other hybrid and electric sports cars.
